I started researching my family history in 2004 and became hooked.  I have uncovered a few gems of  information and added many pieces of life's jigsaw.  I have had many contacts over the years who  have proved both valuable and misleading so I hope that the information contained in my tree is as  accurate as it could possibly be without the aid of a sci fi transporter! As my tree name suggests  my mother was a 'Smith'! and my dad a 'Hopkinson'.  The name Hopkinson has been a difficult one  for me so if there are any true Hopkinsons out there please get in touch. I have managed to track  them back to Derbyshire around 1800.
